Training Village
XRANGE offers both a close-quarters battle environment and a sacrificial village, providing a highly versatile training and practice venue. With exceptional urban engagement opportunities and diverse terrain for air, land and sea insertion and extraction, all types of scenarios – even beach landings, paratrooper drops, and other complex multi-terrain missions – can be executed.
Defence, special forces, security and intelligence, civil defence, and law enforcement teams can conduct force-on-force, building penetration, hostage rescue, and additional mission contingencies at the Training Village. Training serials include:
- Force-on-force exercises (OPFOR)
- Urban operations rehearsal
- Coy level manoeuvre (field firing area)
- Platoon or company level CQB training
FACILITIES
- Close Quarters Battle (CQB) Village: 2.5km2 civilian village converted for training with FX simulation paint markers and blank fire rounds.
- Sacrificial Village: Live-fire destructible environment offering explosive method-of-entry.
- Field Firing Area: 16km2 dismounted live-fire manoeuvre area.
- Vehicle MG Range: For vehicle Crew Served Weapons up to 12.7×99mm NATO.
